Diddy??? Yup, you read it right, Mr. Sean "Diddy" Combs is officially managing rapper Nicki Minaj. It seems that Ms. Minaj wasn't very happy with previous manager Debbie Antney, so she fired her. Ms. Antney told Hip Hop Weekly Magazine that the news came as a complete surprise to her :
"I received a letter, which was [a] suspension," Antney explained. "The next letter that came in was a cease and desist in doing all business with Nicki Minaj from Nicki's attorney."
"I love Nicki. I wish her the most success. It's not about the music, she's like one of my children. I wish her no harm, only much success."
What's suprising to me is that she picked Diddy out of all people to manage her career. First of all, I don't know if it is a very good idea for an artist to manage another artists career. Second, we all know that most of Diddy's artist never have long success. It's like he gets bored of them, and then he is off to the next big thing. Hopefully this is not the case with her, only time will tell...........
