Smokey eyes have become the go-to eye makeup look, especially for celebrities. Smokey eyes give you irresistible-looking eyes, even if they are not big or bright.

 

Kim Kardashian's makeup artist took to her blog to describe how she creates Kim's infamous smokey eye:

"First I applied the golden shade of NARS Duo eyeshadow in Mediteranee similar to how I did it for her Birthday at TAO.Next on the outer corners of the eyes, crease, & along the lower lash line apply Rose Gold Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow by Bobbi Brown. Apply & blend in over the lid Champagne Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow by Bobbi Brown.

To line the lower inside rim I used Stila’s Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Lionfish. *this eyeliner is perfect for this look because of the light shimmer it gives off to help the look flow.
Remember, to finish off the eye, I curl her lashes using Shu Uemura eyelash curler. I used Hypnose Drama by Lancome to give the a big bold lash.

*As you know, red lips can be risky, so to get away with this look with out appearing too retro I had to use gold tone shimmer for the eye rather than ivory tones. It was also super important that I kept the eye liner thin and purposely didn't wing the liner out in a ‘cat eye’ shape."

Hilary Duff is Engaged

The 22 year old Gossip Girls actress recently got engaged to hockey player boyfriend Mike Comrie, her publicist conforms.

"Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie were engaged this weekend while vacationing in Hawaii.After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news. They are thankful for all of your warm wishes."

The date has yet to be announced. Congrats to the couple!

Hilary Duff for Nylon Magazine

There's been a lot of talk about Nylon's choice for the cover; using Hilary in their spread. Personally I don't have anything against the girl so idk why all the smack talk. Nylon's know for cutting edge fashion and Duff is a new member of the trendy Gossip Girl's series. So it's only natural they'd want to feature her. In the mag she also talks about her up and coming line:

Your line for DKNY Jeans, Femme, comes out this fall. What can we expect?

We did two pairs of jeans this season—it’s kind of a selfish line, because it’s skinny jeans, which look the best on me. One thing I wanted was multiple-size belt loops, because sometimes I want to wear a skinny little belt wrapped around a million times, or sometimes I want to wear a really fat one that won’t ever stay in place, slung low. So it just has a lot of options. There’s other stuff, too, like little shrunken leather jackets. I wanted the stuff to be smart.

What was your inspiration for the line?

Just normal girls. I’ll be walking down the street and think, oh she looks cute! Especially being in New York is nice, because everyone has such unique styles. And it’s not people who have a ton of money or have a huge closet, but it’s people wearing what they love and having a unique way of putting it together. That inspired me.
