Jessica Simpson To Mentor On New Reality Series

NBC's new reality series Fashion Star will be starring mega entrepreneur Jessica Simpson as a key mentor to aspiring designers. With Jessica already having a billion dollar brand under her belt, she will be a perfect mentor to the group of designers. It's always fun watching Jessica on these reality shows so we are def. excited to watch!

Jessica Simpson continues to expand her 1 billion dollar  fashion empire collaborating with Davids Bridal, for an exclusive special occasion line.  This includes A-line silhouettes, ballgowns, and mini dresses catered to all body types. Jessica released a statement about the new collection.

"Inspired by the fabulous designer gowns I’ve worn to red carpet events, my affordable collection is designed to fit and flatter a variety of body types and help girls achieve their own red carpet style for Prom.”

Celebrities Untouched

It has been a known fact that celebrities go through major extremes to look  perfect in cover shoots, magazines, red carpet events, etc. Digital retouching has been a part of entertainment industry since day 1.However most celebs have kept it on the down low, in order to keep their picture perfect images alive. Well times are changing, and A list celebrities are wanting the world to know that what we see in the magazines are anything but real.

Britney Spears, who is the spokesperson for Candies  is unhappy with the latest campaign ads released because of the extensive retouching. The unretouched photos of the ad recently leaked out this week, and sources are saying that Ms. Spears has leaked the photos herself, in order to show how superficial the entertainment industry really is.

I think she looks beautiful in her original photo. I can see why she was upset about them airbrushing so much of this.


Another star that is fighting back retouching is Jessica Simpson. For the May issue of Marie Claire magazine  the singer went makeup free and airbrush free.With all the controversy surrounding her weight Jessica wanted to squash all the haters, and let them know that she is 100% happy with who she is. Of course there are those who are saying that she isn't makeup free in the magazine, however I believe her. Check out the photos

Who Rocked it Best?

Jessica Simpson and Reese Witherspoon were both spotted wearing the same L'wren Scott dress. Who do you think rocked it better? Are you feeling Jessica's belted longer version, or are you feeling Reese's simple version? Both things look beautiful, however I'm going to have to go with Reese.

The Perfect Fragrance

 Even though this fragrance has been out for a while, I just recently had a chance to preview Fancy by Jessica Simpson, and I LOVEDD it. Jessica Simpsons signature fragrance is to DIE for. Her perfume is a mixture of warm vanilla scents(which I LOVE), topped with floral elements. I was a little surprised that it smelt so good because usually when celebrities branch out to other ventures it's not so good lol .Well ,Jessica Simpson def. knows what shes doing!
