Celebrities React to Death of Osama Bin Laden

As I'm sure all of you know by now, U.S officials confirmed the death of Osama Bin Laden last night.  President Obama delivered a speech last night stating, 

"His demise should be welcomed by all who believe in peace and human dignity. The American people did not choose this fight. It came to our shores, and started with the senseless slaughter of our citizens. After nearly 10 years of service, struggle, and sacrifice, we know well the costs of war."

Paris Hilton:  "Just landed back in L.A., so happy to hear the news of Osama bin Laden's death. He was the face of terrorism and such an evil man. The world is a much better place with him not in it."

Katy Perry:  "America! F**k yeah! Here to save the motherf**kin' day, yeah! Does anyone else find it strange that this is announced on May Day? I am relieved in some ways, but have a feeling of uncertainty now. I believe in justice, but don't you think that an eye for an eye will make the world blind?"

Yesterday Khloe & Kourtney Kardashian tweeted about a "top secret meeting" happening with OPI, which had people questioning if they scored another endorsement deal.

Kourtney Kardashian (KourtneyKardash): "Amazing top secret meeting with @KhloeKardashian at OPI!!! I am obsessed with their nail polish colors! Yep, it’s safe to say that secret-keeping isn’t in the Kardashian DNA."

 The Kardashians are notorious for random endorsements, however this is def. a good choice! We absolutely loveeee OPI  and we are excited to see how this deal unfolds.

How cute does little Mason look!? The Kardashians still seem to be on top of their game with yet another cover, this time for Redbook magazines May issue. Kris Jenner talks to the magazine about misconceptions about her girls work ethic, and doesn't seem to understand why people think her daughters don't work. Check out an excerpt of the interview.

On her daughters work ethic.

My kids worked from the time they were 13 years old. So to me, that’s a huge misconception that the girls . don’t work. They work 25 hours a day.

On continuously being asked about her daughters work title.

"It’s annoying when I hear, ‘What do your girls do?’ Well, first of all, all of my daughters have jobs. They are fashion stylists and designers; they own a chain of stores. They had the stores before they had the show. They might not be singers or dancers, but they certainly know how to produce a television show, Whether you want to call it talent or not, they have multiple shows on the air. How many shows do you have?My girls’ work ethic is second to none. They get up at 4 a.m., go to work, work until they fall down, and then get up the next day and do it all over again."

On teaching her children values in life.

"I’ve tried to teach my kids three things: love God, love your family and love yourself."

You can't hate on these woman for their hustle. Though they might have capitalized on Kims sex tape, and their looks, the point is they have been able to build and maintain a brand solely off of that. Keeping a brand alive isn't easy, so the fact that they have stayed in the business this long, and don't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon, deserves recognition

Elizabeth Taylor Dies At Age 79

 Hollywood icon, Elizabeth Taylor passed away earlier this morning.  The Oscar winning star had been hospitalized for a few weeks for congestive heart failure and sadly lost her battle. Known not only for her incredible talent, but she was also a pioneering AIDS activist. She will be dearly missed. Hollywood is reacting to her death.

Larry King: "Elizabeth Taylor was a great friend, a great star and one gutsy woman. She was so special. You won't see the likes of her again…"

Steve Martin "I met Elizabeth Taylor several times. She was witty and self-deprecating, which I found surprising and delightful. She loved to laugh."

Kim Kardashian just recently sat down with Elizabeth for an interview for Harper's Baazar. She says that Elizabeth is her fashion icon. She tweeted this a few minutes ago.

Christian Louboutin Hates The Concept of Comfort

The beloved shoe designer Christian Louboutin sat down with The New Yorker to talk about the fashion empire he has so ingeniously created, and his personal preferences when it comes to fashion. 

Those of you that have been lucky enough to own a pair of Louboutins, know that by the end of the day your itching to take those pumps off.Ironically Mr. Louboutin doesn't mind the discomfort, he was actually quoted in for his dislike in comfort. 

"I hate the whole concept of comfort! It’s like when people say, ‘Well, we’re not really in love, but we’re in a comfortable relationship.’ You’re abandoning a lot of ideas when you are too into comfort. ‘Comfy’—that’s one of the worst words! I just picture a woman feeling bad, with a big bottle of alcohol, really puffy. It’s really depressing, but she likes her life because she has comfortable clogs.”

Kourtney Kardashian is featured on the latest cover of Cliq magazine, and talks about everything from her new reality series Kourtney & Kim Take New York, opening new DASH stores, and  Khloe & Lamars new reality show.

On watching herself on TV.

"We always do. My mom had a party with our close friends and family....and she got a bunch of Mexican food. It's fun to watch the show with everyone else because they weren't there.So it was fun. Kim was out of town but we were tweeting each other the entire time"

Current Fixation: Celebrity Makeup Artist, Joyce Bonelli

If by any chance you've noticed that the Kardashians makeup seems more on the natural side, rather than their usual dramatic look, you have Joyce Bonelli to thank. Personal makeup artist to the Kardashians, she is making her mark in Hollywood. 

Joyce says she first met Kim at her 944 magazine shoot about 5 years ago. She tells Beauty Logic Blog about her experience.

"I actually worked with Kim on a 944 shoot almost 5 years ago. This was before Keeping Up With The Kardashians so I didn't even know who she was at the time. Weird to think there was ever that time. She was the same sweet, fabulous and gorgeous girl then as she is now. 
Kim is an on going inspiration to work with! We worked on numerous projects over the years together. Along with Kris Kourtney & Khloe too. And now Kendall & Kylie. I Die for their whole family!"

We absolutely love her style of makeup. Her contouring techniques, and signature voluptuous lips are to die for! Not to mention she is a little fashionista herself. She reminds us of Lady Gaga. 

Joyce has simple beauty advice for us ladies out there.

"Eyebrows are everything. They frame your whole face. So wax, trim and dye as needed!

Also, pick one facial feature at a time to be  your statement piece. A Heavy eye, 

bright lip, or rosy cheeks. Don't over do it by going Cray Cray on all 3 at the same time."

Kim Snags Khloe In Ratings

 

The premiere of Kourtney and Kim Take New York proved the theory that Kim K. might just be the favored sister, out of the Kardashian clan. 3 million viewers tuned in last night, which beat the 2.6 million viewers Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami experienced for it's 2nd season premiere ratings.

Kim & Kourtney were on The Wendy Williams show, and talked about everything from marriage,black men, and plastic surgery. Check out the video below

Khloe K Rocks a New Hair Color

Khloe Kardashian stepped out on the red carpet last night for the 2011 People's Choice Awards, with a new set of red locks. The reality star wrote on her blog how she is in the process of transitioning her locks into a brand new color. 

"What do you guys think of my new hair color? I’m still in the process of changing it so this color is just the first step, but I was definitely ready for a change!"

 The reality star was joined by her 4 sisters at the award show, where Keeping Up With The Kardashians won an award for Favorite TV Guilty Pleasure.
