The Fab Five

First it was Paris & Nicole who ruled the socialite scene, however Kim Kardashian has seemed to kick them  out of the spotlight, with a new clique of her own. In the past year, I have noticed a new group form in Hollywood, that has me quite intrigued.

Kim Kardashian, Ciara, La La Anthony, Trina & Kelly Rowland, have become the"it" girls in Hollywood you wish you were friends with! If not partying it up in Las Vegas, or having brunch at a paparazzi hot spot, these ladies are making the Hollywood scene sizzle!

Check out some pics of the fabulous ladies together

All about the eyes

Don't you just love Eva's makeup? She is one of the many stars that always knows how to rock the smokey eyed look, and make her eyes the main focus. Nothing makes the eyes pop out more than a set of full lashes. Now, if you're not blessed with naturally long lashes or just want to pump up your look for going out, fake lashes are perfect! I've always wanted to try fake lashes, but was a bit hesitant because I didn't want them to fall off or look super fake. In the end, I decided to try out this trend and with a little practice it's actually not as hard as it looks.

These are the tools I used:

L'Oreal Extra Intense Black Liquid Liner Pencil

It's basically a gel/liquid liner in pencil form that just glides on so smooth, and stays put!
Super cheap and you can get it at any drugstore.
(Joyful and I mentioned it in a previous post)

Duo Eyelash adhesive

They have a supposed clear one,
but I personally prefer the color toned one
because it looks like you have a bit of eyeliner on
and the clear toned one sometimes doesn't always dry clear.
But you can experiment with either and see which you like better.

MAC #7 Lashes

I used these particular lashes because they give that dramatic effect
while still keeping it natural-looking.
They're about $13.00

The thing you have to remember is placing false lashes on is the last step! So once you've done all your regular face makeup and eye makeup, you're ready for the lashes. I lined the inner rim of my eyes with the eye liner as well as the top of my lash line. This helps so when you place the lashes you won't see a big old gap inbetween your real and fake lashes; basically it helps them look more natural. Take out your lashes and bend it a bit so that it can mold to your eye shape easier. Take a thin amount of glue and place it on the lashes, wait about 30 seconds or so [it adheres better to the skin if the glue dries and is a bit tacky], then place it as close to the lashline a possible. The trick isn't to be really agressive. You can take a Q-tip and press it into the lashline and pinch the real and fake lashes together. As an extra step you can add mascara to blend the two together but I didn't when I tried it.

My finished look:

I realize showing is better then telling so I found this really good youtube vid featuring a make up artist named Kandee showing how to put them on. She's super cute and knows what she's talking about:

And because I used Eva Longoria as an example, here's another one of her tutorials that show how to get that smokey-eyed 'Eva' look:

Try it out!
Tell us how it goes.
Remember practice makes perfect and if you do it right you'll have lashes for days :)

Street Fashion

Joyful and I are proud to introduce you to our long awaited 'Street Fashion' segment.
We had a few technical difficulties but here it is!
In this segment we feature anyone we come across, at anytime, that exudes style and personality and place their photo for you guys to see!
For our first post on this we scoured our city of Seattle for some fashionistas and at first we were disappointed because for some reason nobody seemed to care how they looked that day. I mean Seattle come on!! Lol but with a little more effort we bumped into a couple of people:

This couple was too cute! They had such a relaxed summer style and matched accordingly.
Joyful loved the girl's color scheme with the white flowy top with red flats and a turquoise canvas bag. They definitely showed that less is more and accomplished that effortless summer style.

This next girl we found in our local Seattle Sephora! We loved her dressy but comfortable outfit. And not to mention great minds think alike because we happened to have the same earrings. So fate! I love how she accessorized and added her own personal style to her rolled up jeans and black tee. I'm so into scarves and gladiators (which are big this season!!!) which she's rockin.

This girl was sooo sweet! She just came here from Germany! We love her outfit! She shows once again how a litlle accessory such as shoes can spice up a simple outfit. She's wearing a simple grey tank with black leggings and purple anke boots.Once again less is more.

And then there's Gina!! Joyful's sister! Oh my goodness she is so so so fashionable! Never a hair out of place and always showstopping! We love her stilettos which are a nude animal print which is so in right now. Yellow skinny jeans with a matching waist-cinching belt and a black bag to complete the ensemble.
We just love her! I swear you need to see her wardrobe!
Here's our very own Joyful!! So cute with her embellished flats and simple black dress. Perfect for summer. She accessorized with a turquoise necklace and a cognac colored shoulder bag and big rimmed shades! Love it, love her!!!

And here's me! I wanna share a couple of pics with you guys. I went out for my one year anniversary with my bf. I chose a muti-colored tube dress with croc-print, t-strap pumps and only simply accessorized with a 3 tiered necklace and black and gold ring. You never want to go over board with accessories!
Anyways we hoped you enjoyed it! We'd love to see you! If you feel you have that look feel free to send us your pics at our e-mail eternallyfixatedblog@hotmail.com and we'll post them on our next 'Street Fashion' segment! See how you compare with Seattle! Don't forget to check all our other posts located down below or click older posts!!

FAB Make-up that we love!

So Joyful and I would like to take a minute to give you some reviews on a couple of make up products we recently purchased. The first is:

L'Oreal Extra Intense Black Liquid Liner Pencil
It's basically a gel/liquid liner in pencil form that just glides on so smooth, and stays put! It's pretty intense so if you want your eyes to pop for a cheap price we both recommend this. You can use it to line and even smudge it for those times you want a smokey eye. Joyful and I both have this in Black and it's around 6-8 bucks at any drugstore.
MAC Select sheer loose powder
Your skin looks and feels virtually naked. This ultra fine translucent powder is great for the skin if you want a matte finish but leaves a bit of your natural glow intact. You can also use it to set your foundation and it's really light, as I mentioned earlier, so you won't feel or looked so caked on. It's great for absorbing oil also, but if you're looking for something with more coverage this probably wouldn't be for you. I am wearing it below in NW 35.

This makeup definitely “SMASHED” the competition

Continuing off of my last post “Love their makeup” I really wanted to talk about this amazing bronzer that I’ve been using. It’s by SMASHBOX and it’s called BRONZED LIGHTS. The bronzer comes in two shades Sunkissed Matte and Suntan Matte. I’ve been using the Suntan Matte color. You can get it at Nordstrom’s, Sephora, or anywhere that sells SMASHBOX. Bronzers are fab in general because it can always give you a boost in color. Just dust lightly with a fluffy powder brush on your cheeks, temples, the bridge of your nose, or anywhere you want color. This one is great because you can use it to contour your face. I personally take a small blush brush and concentrate more on the hollows of my cheeks, under my cheekbones, and the temples to give slimming affect and frame my face with tanned definition. [ I'm wearing it in the my pic above:) ]

I also personally like this bronzer by ARBONNE and it’s called No Sun Intended. The drawback is it only comes in one color so if you’re too fair it might come off a little strong. I use this one for all over summer glow :)

Now for the great debate: Shimmer or no shimmer? Bronzers with a little bit of shimmer can look great…if you do it right. If you pick a shade too dark however, you complexion is left looking muddy or dirty even. Especially in hot weather too much shimmer can leave you looking really oily. So I would stick with the matte formula. You can wear it every day and it doubles because it can absorb oil.

Now we all know I love Kim Kardashian because she’s just so gorgeous and her make-up is always looking flawless thanks to Mario (mentioned in the “Love their makeup” post). She is also a fan of the SMASHBOX bronzer and is even wearing it in these two pics (Make up done by Mario of course) :
