Fall chic

I have to give it up to Kelly Ripa; with her being an on-the-go mom and her career, she still manages to always look so chic (and do I have to mention staying so tiny?!?!).

She is wearing all the trends I am in love with this fall!
[skinny jeans/tights and anything oversized]
I am obsessed with the whole neutral scene, and her look here, embodies exactly how to pull it off.
Decked all out in a neutral color palete, she brings to life an oversized sweater, platform pumps, and scarf all in different shades of grey. With added taste, she threw on a long pearly-grey necklace which compliments the colors in her look. It's all about accessories this season ladies. It's the little things that make an outfit. Just imagine how different this look could've turned if she didn't add the scarf, necklace, sunglasses and wore just plain flip-flops?

[definitely casual, BUT wouldn't have the same affect to me]

Accessories make or break an outfit. They can immediately pull together an otherwise simple look, and can take you out the door from drab to FAB! She finishes with a black motorcycle bag and big-rimmed sunnies! I love this look and it's so something I would wear and you at home can put together. This is just another inspiration to help your creative side come out.
:)

Love you Kelly!

Looking to revamp your Boyfriend's style?

With fall coming up, there are a couple of staples every guy could use in his closet:
Boots:

It's very euro chic and with the colder weather coming around,
it's a good way to keep stylishly warm. It can definitely add an edge/ dress up the simplest of outfits.
If boots aren't really a trend you want to have him try just get him some nice sneakers in a color that'll go with anything like these
Nike SB Blazer's

or
these
Creative Recreation's

(They're pretty pricey but if you invest in a high quality shoe, it's sure to last you in the long run.)

A Cardigan

It's good for layering underneath a blazer or jacket.
It definitely makes your silhouettes leaner when you layer.

Jeans

Everyone needs a good pair of jeans. The most common mistake people
make is they buy way too many pairs of jeans.
All you need is at least one pair that looks and fits good.
A Solid V-neck tee

Perfect for layering or wearing alone, it adds a sophistication
to your look without trying too hard.

Trend spot: Over the knee boots

Louis’s done it again debuting over the knee boots in his fall 2009/10 collection.

I have to say I love love looove boots. They can transition into any season spring, summer, fall. Over the knee boots are great for fall/winter because they can add a definite edge (and warmth) to your look for these colder months. Just pair with tights, leggings, or super skinnys and you’re set! I’m more on the height challenged side (I’m 5 ft) so personally I think this trend gears toward taller people otherwise it’ll engulf your whole leg. Here’s a couple of your favorite celebs wearing this tall trend:

If you’re looking to purchase some here are a couple I found:
Nine West
'Rontae' Boot
$119.00
Stuart Weitzman

'Hiho' Thigh High Boot
675.00
Chinese Laundry
'Trust Me' Over the Knee Boot
$99.95
Calvin Klein
‘Mayson’ Over the knee boot

$219.95
This is one of those trends that you either go big or go home! Careful though, it can start to lean towards hooker than high-fashion. It’s not an easy trend to fall into, but with anything the main key is confidence. Half the battle of showstopping, is believing you’re fly. So am I going to see any of you fashionistas rockin the over the knee boot trend this fall/winter?

With Fall coming up everyone's all about incorporating a little more color into your daily wardrobe to offset that dreary weather. While I'm all for spicing up your wardrobe, we can't forget the basics. This season it's all about grey. I love love looove grey! It's everywhere. I'll never forget when I went to a barbecue this past weekend and my friend and her boyfriend as well as me and my bf all showed up rocking grey! (Hey great minds think alike.) BAGS BAGS BAGS

Handbags are always the perfect accessory when completing an outfit. A handbag can definitely make or break your ensemble. This Fall try and color coordinate your wardrobe with your handbags. Play around with different looks and see what you come up with. There are soo many times that I have noticed how something as small as a handbag can really transform an outfit. This fall brights, solids, and neutrals are in. Here are a couple of my favorite handbags out right now.

Chloe Kira Medium Satchel

I love Chloe bags....they are always classy and chic. The Chloe Kira Medium Satchel is great if you want a classic black bag.I love the gold accents! This satchel can definitely dress up a simple outfit, and make a hot outfit extraordinary.

Bright bags are perfect for the Fall. This Treesje bag is the perfect accessory that will help brighten your wardrobe.

The 80's has returned to the runway this Fall and it's come back in amazing style! Designers such as Marc Jacobs, Dsquare, Thakoon, and Balmain have set an eighties trend to their Fall 2009 collections. Metallic leather, glitter, acid washed jeans, crystal studs, and anything GLAM is making a triumphant mark this season.

I am especially loving the sexy glamour dresses that the one and only, Donatella Versace has come out with this fall. These dresses are definitely perfect for a night out in the town! Marc Jacobs has also come out with a collection that is to die for! His line is all about the "after hours" style. I love anything that has to do with allure and glamour so I am superrr excited that this trend is back this season! Check out all these FAB collections at www.style.com. Are you glad the 80's is back in session???

Fall Fashion: The Biker Chick

This Fall biker jackets are back in style. Designers such as Alexander Wang, Phi and Roland Mouret have all brought back the biker chick look to their Fall 2009 collections. Some jackets are covered in zippers while others are cropped to a shrunken fit, and embellished. Either way these jackets are looking HOT! I personally love the zipper effect that has evolved in fashion this season. Model Chanel Iman looks amazing in the Phi zippered jacket for Fall! It's very versatile and unique! These jackets can go great with printed or solid leggings, mini dresses, and regular or skinny jeans. However, be careful about zippered jackets if you are self conscious about your upper body because the zippers will put focus on your top half. With that said, If you wanna get in touch with your inner "bad ass" you definitely need to grab one of these jackets for the fall ASAP!

Christian Siriano Payless Collection

Christian Siriano, winner of the fourth Season of Project Runway is teaming up with Payless for a Fall 2009, accessories and shoe collection. His collection consists of Egyptian inspired shoes and bags. His shoes are full of cone shapes, chains, spikes and his color scheme choices are deep brown, chocolate, gold and aqua satin. I think his shoes are definitely edgy but I'm going to have to get use to the spikes! Check out Siriano's collection at www.payless.com

LUV IT!

Check out this amazing Balmain Fall 2009 Jacket! Isn't it sick!? When I saw this quilted leather jacket I diedd!! And doesn't Rihanna look amazing? I'm really digging her black jeans with leather bottoms! I love Rihanna's style because I feel that she is definitely in her own league. There are outfits she wears that I would never even think of putting on my body but, she has the "look"to pull it off. I would describe Rihannas style as "boyish chic"with a high end fashion twist. I love her ,and I love this Balmain Jacket! Check out Balmain's Fall 2009 collection on his website at http://www.balmain.com/

Aston Slouch Chain Ankle Boots: $68.00

ANIQUE stud Toe Ankle: $85:00

[August Heeled Desert Boot: 75.00]

[ASTRIDE lace up ankle boot: $85.00]

[ALIVE Double Platform Boots: $85.00]
[BRITANY2 over knee boot:$100.00]

Fall is around the corner and it is time for a fashion switch up. One of the hot items of the fall is BOOTS! I personally love high boots because they elongate my legs to make me look extraaa divalicious! Even though I'm 5'7 and I really don't need the height adjustment, I still luv rockin them heels because I feel supppperr SEXY!! The right detail can make all the difference with a pair of shoes. All of the shoes are extra FABULOUS because they have subtle details and embellishments that give each shoe personality. The right pair of boots can make all the difference in an outfit. You can have the most simple outfit on but the minute you put on a pair of hot boots, it dramatically changes your entire look. So, go get yourself a pair ASAP!
